Additional to the 26th May changes is a new Summer Sunday-only route 279 across Dartmoor. It operates from Gunnislake Station via Tavistock and Lydford to Okehampton, where it terminates at the Rail Station and connects up with the Sunday-only train service there. The bus leaves Gunnislake Station at 10.05 and 14.00, and Okehampton Station at 12.20 and 15.50 (to Tavistock only). There are additional journeys at 16.55 Tavistock-Lydford and 17.30 Lydford-Gunnislake. The service will operate on Sundays only (NOT Public Holidays) until 16th September. Unusually it is funded by Cross Country Trains via its Community Engagement Fund. As it is registered as a tourist route, ENCTS Passes are not accepted. A fare of £3 single or return is charged. The service connects at both ends with rail services and can be used in conjunction with a Devon Day Ranger ticket (valid to both Gunnislake and Okehampton) to create a circular itinerary from Exeter or Plymouth. Will Stagecoach be doing the operating?

It's a one-bus one-duty route (we have quite a few of those in Devon!)

There are reports on Plymothian Transit, unconfirmed as yet, that some 64-reg Enviro200s from Go-Ahead London will be transferring to Plymouth CityBus, to replace Mercedes Citaros 80-87 which are 55-reg.
Also that ten new 69-reg Enviro200 MMC will be arriving in September, these are reported as being replacements for the 12-reg Volvo B7LRE Wright Eclipses 100-109 that are currently in "Blue Flash" livery for route 11/11A (Plymouth-Padstow). The Volvos (except 109 which has been cannibalised and will be scrapped) are reported as being headed for Go-Ahead's new Go North West operation at Manchester's Queens Road Garage, which replaced the former First Bus operations there.

I'd hazard a guess that they'll be the 100's SE's which will be redundant when it goes electric later this year - a big downgrade to 9.6m buses (if it's the 100's batch) from 12m Citaros mind you.

It would seem odd if Citaros are replaced by 64-reg E200s from London, if these are current route 100 examples. At 9.6m they are much shorter than the Citaros. As the ex-First Eclipses with Go North West are at leat 06-reg if not 55 or even 05, it would be sensible to replace these with newer examples, such as Plymouth 12-reg examples. I wonder whether 14-reg examples from Metrobus route 10 will follow once the Hydrogen buses arrive?

Some upcoming changes:
Stagecoach:
Route 13 (Plymouth City Centre-Saltash Passage): from 28th July this service will start/terminate at Western Approach and will not serve Royal Parade and Drake's Circus (this may be a temporary measure to avoid congestion during the redevelopment of the Bretonside Bus Station site).
Route 14 (Plymouth City Centre-Derriford Hospital): revised route in Derriford area from 28th July.
Routes 21/21A (Westward Ho!/Appledore-Bideford-Barnstaple-Georgeham/Ilfracombe) temporary Summer timetables from 28th July until 1st September inclusive, with more buses to Croyde Bay and increased running time.
Torbay Buses (DJ Watts Coach Travel Ltd)
New timetables from 2nd September on the following routes:
25 (Paignton, Youngs's Park-Morrison's - route also revised to omit Paignton Bus Station). 62 (Torquay, Parkhill Road-Cockington) 64 (Torquay, Castle Circus-Middle Warberry Road)
Dartline (Dealtop Ltd)
New timetable for route 118 (Okehampton-Tavistock) from 2nd September. A great scenic route across Dartmoor, I can recommend it!
Tally Ho! Coaches Ltd
Timetable changes for route 164 (Totnes-Kingsbridge) from 2nd September.

Plymouth CityBus has notified timetable changes on the following services from Sunday 1st September, including most of its Callywith College (Bodmin) routes. The open-top Ocean City Sights tour (OCS) is also withdrawn from this date.
5/5A Elburton - City Centre - Saltash: revised running times and terminal changes including additional late evening journey towards Elburton departing Royal Parade at 23.45
11A/11B Padstow - Bodmin Parkway: 15.20 journey departs at 15.30 and no longer diverts via Callywith College
27/27A/27B/28/28A/28B City Centre - Crownhill & Estover: timetable changes, most evening journeys 10 minutes later
42/42A/42B/42C/42D City Centre - Derriford Hospital - Southway & Woolwell: timetable changes
50/51 City Centre & Derriford Hospital circulars: timetable changes on Sundays and public holidays
74 Callington - Liskeard (Go Cornwall Bus): new timetable, and new 74A variant operating via Upton Cross
PR3 George Junction Park & Ride - Derriford: evening and Saturday service withdrawn (these journeys were added on 7th April to serve the new The Range store in William Prance Road but have evidently not been successful). PR3 tickets will be accepted on routes 42/42A/42C
The timetable for Go Cornwall Bus route 72/72A/72B (Plymouth - Looe - Polperro, Crumplehorn) will change later in September. There will be a special timetable from Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd September for the Looe Music Festival, from Monday 23rd September the Winter period timetable will apply.

A reminder that the following buses are due for the Plymouth CityBus fleet. There is a lot of rumour and speculation flying around as to potential allocations and consequential cascades.
10 x ADL E200 ex-Go-Ahead London (will replace the oldest Mercedes Citaros). 10 x ADL E200 MMC new 10 x ADL E400City new
The Devon County Council contract for route 87 (Tavistock-Bere Alston) transfers from Target Travel to Stagecoach from Monday 2nd September. There are minor changes to the timetable.
The Devon County Council contract for route 59 (Plymouth - Lee Moor - George Junction) transfers from Target Travel to Oakleys Coaches of Lee Moor from Monday 16th September. This is Oakleys' first regular bus service.

A few updates, in no particular order:
Plymouth CityBus: the OCS (Ocean City Sights) open top bus tour duly ceased after 31st August, but during September one of the vehicles is being used on route 25 (Barbican/The Hoe circular) unless the weather is poor. Last day of operation for Summer Sunday route 279 (Tavistock-Okehampton) is 15th September. Route 72 (Plymouth-Polperro) has an enhanced service on Friday 20th/Saturday 21st/Sunday 22nd September for the Looe Music Festival, the Winter season timetable is effective from Monday 23rd September.
Target Travel: the 59 passes to Oakley's Coaches from Monday 16th September. The registrations for Devon County Council contacted routes 55, 56 and 98 based on Yelverton have just been cancelled effective 26th October which suggests they have been awarded to another operator, possibly Stagecoach who have an outstation at Tavistock.
Rail=River Link: last day of the seasonal NT1 service (Churston Station-Greenway House) will be Thursday 19th September.

Stagecoach has registered a number of timetable changes and a handful of service changes, effective 27th/28th October. No mention of the 55/56/98 routes deregistered by Target Travel though so we will have to wait and see ....

It looks like Oakley's Coaches will also be taking over the following routes from Target Travel from Monday 28th October:
55/56: Tavistock - Dousland - Yelverton - Milton Combe 98: Tavistock - Princetown - Yelverton*
Oakley's has former Go-Ahead South Coast Mini Pointer Dart HW54 BUA which was originally 309 in the Southern Vectis fleet and also saw service with Salisbury Reds. In 2015 it acquired a "beach bus" livery and vinyls for the Hythe-Lymington route which it still carries. Ex-Western Greyhound/First Kernow KN52 HFU also appears to have been acquired.
* the 98 is a spectacular journey across Dartmoor, especially if you get one of the journeys that double-runs via Postbridge
