The list of routes to be operated by GNW out of Bolton Weston Street and Wigan garages have been posted on a Facebook group for the Bee Network. GNW Bolton
GNW Wigan
Furthermore, Diamond will take over the lease at Arriva North West’s Bolton garage to operate some small franchise operations.

A question to LVF_Admin , as the Manchester bus services move in house to be centrally operated, is there a standalone Greater Manchester version of LVF and LRT (Lothian) in the pipeline?

A question to LVF_Admin , as the Manchester bus services move in house to be centrally operated, is there a standalone Greater Manchester version of LVF and LRT (Lothian) in the pipeline? Lothian was originally stand alone, We now have RVF and LVF and an admin team who manage both, some work mainly on RVF , others on LVF. No plans for more stand alone versions.

The term 'Improvements' is debatable as it depends on how good peoples memories are, as most of the changes planned in Phase 1 just return services to pre-covid levels. Which the commercial businesses where unwilling to do, for whatever reason that might be.

Photo (not mine): flic.kr/p/2p3apgrUnless they were ordered by TfGM like the BYD/E400EVs for the Bee Network which they are owned by TfGM themselves like LT's in London, this could be a case where TfGM would like all new buses ordered for the Bee Network not only in all yellow livery, but also in standard TfGM Bee Network interoir as well regardless of the operator who runs the route.

Yes TfGM are aiming for all Bee Network fleet to have a uniform interior and exterior too. Sensible approach - TfL should do the same. There are 52 E200mmcs (believe all same length) for Go North West coming and 67 for Rotala (9.7m, 10.8m & 11.8m), all procured by the operators themselves.

The first franchised bus services take to the road in Wigan and Bolton on Sunday 24th September. This is the first time since October 1986 that local bus services in the UK, outside London and N Ireland, have been controlled by a Local Authority.
Rotala's Bolton Depot has been bought out by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, and will be leased out to Go North West. Separately, Rotala (Diamond Bus North West) will sell 134 vehicles (101 Wright Streetdecks and 33 single-deckers) to Go North West. The combined assets have a estimated net book value of £23 million but Rotala will receive £30.4 million from the sales.
Some Diamond Bus North West will also transfer to Go North West. Diamond will retain a 60-vehicle operation which will be based at the former Go Goodwin's Depot in Eccles.
Arriva is to close its Bolton Depot due to loss of work in the area. Some cross-boundary routes will continue to operate into the area operating under service permits.
Stagecoach has won a number of school contracts and will retain a presence in Wigan, although it will no longer be involved in local service work in the area and the future of its Depot in Bryn is is doubt. It is currently storing redundant Megabus vehicles and is also storing some of the Bee Network electrics until they enter service with Go North West in September. Stagecoach of course is the big winner in Phase 2 of franchising and will take over Go North West's historic Queen's Road Depot and First's Oldham Depot, as well as continuing to use its Middleton Depot.
Vision Bus has also won some school contracts, which partly compensate for the loss of local service work. Vision Bus also runs a dealership from its extensive premises in Horwich.

First day of the Manchester Bee Network begins!!
All of the routes now controlled centrally are now on the website
Now we need a fleet list of all the buses now in yellow, which I can’t seem to find 🤔
One thing I’m very intrigued at is some of the 192’s MMCs getting repainted into bee livery already, when its section isn’t starting until 2025

Bit of a mick take if they fund the buses for someone else to potentially win the vehicles they bought for the routes they operated!
