One question. When preserving a bus that doesn't have the bus stopping sign when new for example GAL DOE Dennis Tridents will GAL allow you to keep the Ibus but with basic information which only shows the time and the bus stopping when someone presses the Bell ?

No. Have been rare instances where it is accidentally left after vehicle gets sold, but gets returned pretty quickly to TfL

However, some operators in the North East used a similar unit many years back, and these have very occasionally been spotted for sale, however they do not power on and can't be programmed, so can only be used for visual effects in the cab

I have noticed on the 427 the ibus is delayed by a few seconds (ie 427 to... Then the destination gets revealed after a few seconds pause). What other bus routes have this issue

Hi folks so recently we have a newer version of ibus. (I know it's been around for a while from the ex red routes and the C10/P5 buses)
What are your thoughts to the newer versions with the colours on it as opposed to the older versions with the dot matrix across the screen.
I actually prefer the newer ones as if I'm going to a station at least I know how far it roughly is. I do think the ones on the electroliners that Metroline, Arriva and Stagecoach (soon to be in service) has is massive.

However it's kind of weird why the Arriva Electroliners don't have the Station thing but the Abellio ones do

Are the new Ibus screens fitted as standard on new buses being built now or are the old screens still be used on some new buses? Can't remember the last time I went on a brand new bus!

I do remember the days back in the late 90s that First Capital had some red dot matrix bus stopping signs on it's buses. These routes included the S2 on it's east lancs sprytes, the arrows on the 76, 259 and the S-Reg examples that were on the 369 and the volvo olympians on the 341. I had a small feeling it may be heading that way and then in the mid 2000s they trialled it on one of the routes. I know it was an arriva route but I'm not sure which one it was. I think it may have been either the 141 or 149.
