Don't remember which exact ones but two more E400s have joined UNO's TfL school fleet. These two are from Metroline's LK60 batch. TE1087 & TE1092

TE1092 is tracking as TMP18480 I may have missed something, but how have UNO managed to get permission to operate their 2023 contract start date school routes with vehicles of 14 years vintage?

TE1092 is tracking as TMP18480 I may have missed something, but how have UNO managed to get permission to operate their 2023 contract start date school routes with vehicles of 14 years vintage? On paper, they'll have a younger vehicle allocated (ie the BYDs or Enviro400MMCs) but in reality, they'll just put out what they can.

Similarly, I'm surprised the 10reg Scanias are compliant, which are slightly older than the ex-Metroline TEs. My guess is that the current allocation were the only second hand DDs that were available at the time, and Uno may look to replace the older vehicles mid-contract? I think Uno were the only bidder for the 628/653/683/688, so TFL didn't really have much choice. It was suggested that Sullivan chose not to bid due to a shortage of DDs available to purchase (and only had enough in their existing fleet to retain the 605). I wonder why Metroline chose not to bid either, who would have had the garage space and existing hybrids available at the time?

Presumably because UNO have lower operating costs that maybe Metroline couldn’t match at the time? It’s not uncommon for school routes to be allowed older vehicles than regular routes

What looks like a trio of B8L Evosetis was spotted on traffic cam (A1(M) northbound near Welwyn) by a RailUK Forums poster. You may recall a small batch was ordered for the commercial X10 last year. Image size is only 50KB so I think a reupload here will be fine.

Stagecoach Chief Executive Officer Claire Miles and her team visited ADL at Larbert yesterday for an update on their plans alongside a tour of the factory and Stagecoach's next-generation electric buses. Bit of a hint about future purchases. You have posted this in the wrong thread 😊
