Had a bit of spare time today and decided to do full routes of the 7 and 8, 7 East Acton to Russell square, as I haven't travelled on the Olympuses much and they are getting replaced by hybrids soon, they add a nice bit of variety to the London scene and I find they ride better than the Omincitys . Then went on the 8 from Holborn to Bow church on Stagecoaches trusty Tridents although a couple of 400Hs were on the route. thought id travel on the 8 before TFL ruin it in the summer.

I went for a little bus surf today... stopping by at Ian Allan's, shops at Regent Street and WASABIIIIIIIIII
From home...
298 to Southgate Station. I still haven't seen anyone enter or exit the bus at the Slopers Pond Farm bus stop. It was, of course an Enviro200 (AE11, I believe.) 125 to Finchley Central. DLPs are just as awesome as DLAs. 82 to Golders Green. Just your average Metroline TE. I take this route very often. Same old.
245 to somewhere around Neasden - got a purebred Metroline VW instead of an ex-First VW... the Gemini 2s just look so much better with two tree deflectors. I know this used to be a single decker route, but there were only two people on the top deck during my ride. While passing Cricklewood Bus Garage, Metroline's 'MetCafe' looked very appetising. Of course, I'm not allowed in.
297 to Ealing Broadway. I apologise to the man who sat next to me. I love my front seat on the top deck, and at every opportunity I grab it. But since you were right next to me I couldn't get to it. I want the front seat. You don't smell or anything... but front seat, man. Front seat.
65 to South Ealing. Very brief journey... but I don't know Ealing at all. I was glad to be on an OmniCity.
Piccadilly Line to Hounslow West. Kinda know this place... I take the H98 from there to go to where I play baseball games...
H91 to Hammersmith. Scania OmniCity. Amazing ride on the A4. Very good route.
Tube to Waterloo. Needed a break from buses at this point.
139 to Piccadilly Circus. Feeling kind of lazy. Just your usual TEH, and nothing interesting happened.
After a walk-around the area
29 from Tottenham Ct Road to Wood Green. Usual HV bus. Surprisingly... it wasn't busy for all of the journey. I managed to get the front seat soon enough. Usually rides on the 29 for me suck, unlike the awesome 134... but it was good this time.
121 to Southgate. Usual DW bus. With a man making strange noises to himself the whole journey, and the driver just casually in a Hollister T-Shirt.
298 back to Potters Bar. Once again, AE11. Total number of passengers alighting at Slopers Pond Farm: 0
Best bus of the day: H91. Worst bus of the day: They were all good.

They do have Sunday services I went to Basildon to see someone and I came back by bus route 8A To the station but it isnt frequent I was being just a tiny bit sarcastic. I know there are some bus services on Sundays but they're fairly sparse. I was a little bit surprised that DW498 could get as far as his itinerary said and was curious if things ran to time which they broadly did. I'd be a tiny bit concerned about short time connections if an incoming service was to run late. Who wants to wait an hour or possibly two hours due to a missed connection?

W11 - ENS W12 - narrow Solo 308 - DMV 276 - E20D 488 - very well loaded from Clapton to Dalston which was nice to see. E20D 243 - DW 242 - DW 277 - T 38 - Ludicrously slow. The schedule needs speeding up as a matter of urgency. DW 63 - WVL 46 - This was the slowest bus in London. It waited time at 90% of the stops we served. E20D C11 - E20D 31 - VNZ 452 - This arrived full to the brim with people pouring out of both doors. So much for underused. E40D 137 - DW Mk1 11 - This was in headache mode - loud engine noise and that wretched bleeping noise when stopped. How the customer assistants tolerate the din I don't know. LT 211 - E40D Tube - 09 stock 123 - VLA
Longest wait time was for the 308 - just over 10 minutes. Nearly every other bus came within a couple of minutes or hop off one, get on next one straight away.
An adventure course to photograph some fire stations that are closing tomorrow courtesy of our delightful Mayor.

Every time I see it, it has lots of people on so I really don't know what people are on about it being a waste.
