It's really funny how by just changing the destinations and not the route number that the number blind on 895 just decided it didn't want to show 498 any more but any other route combination worked fine...

A bit of an interesting one with the 339's 'original' E200 allocation (DM44167-DM44170). Whenever they are heading towards Shadwell the side blind displays '339 via Mile End (Including curtail points), but when the destination is Leytonstone the side blind is completely blank for all 4 buses

DW532 on the 106 with the rear route blind blank. A Scania on the 48 with the destination blind stuck between two destinations. Pretty much every bus on SI's single decker routes with side blind problems. It wasn't like this before.

Saw an SP on route 691 this morning with a blank front and rear blind and the side blind was filled in with a white on black blind for route 571 via Ham, Richmond Hill, Ham Hill and Richmond or something like that.

Leon Daniels' column in the latest edition of the Londoner says that a review of destinations is underway. The intention is to remove ambiguity (Hayes and Harlington is cited as an example). There's an illustration of what seems to be a proposal for a
Merton BUS GARAGE
blind - I'm as sure as I can be that the use of upper case lettering here would put it in breach of accessibility law. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out over the coming months.

I thing it might also be on the SEs from that garage too.

Sadly though, if that means we be swapping destinations like Norwood Garage for West Norwood, then I'll be less than impressed.

I don't get the 'accessibility' thing - if it's in capitals or lower case, does it really matter? If they wanted to end this 'banditry' they could just go for LED's which could show via points (I know that is part of the accessibility requirements, which TfL doesn't adhere to) Talking of 267's, TLA4 was out on the route yesterday, with the rear blind set to 391

Last time I looked out of the window, all the 486's had paper blinds.

LED blinds look ugly! And they're not always clear enough to read (well not for me at least).

3425 was out on the B13 today, no blinds and just two A4 bits of paper in the windscreen.
