What is the oldest unrefurbished double and single decker that is still officially route allocated? TA40229? All the TAs were done when they were 9 years old, TA40229 has been taken out of service anyway. There are some 2008 SPs that are still in as built condition (have black paint above front windows), but I think they might be refurb cover and not route allocated

Speaking of old seats TA223 has three seats at the back downstairs with the really old moquette the VAs used to carry.

ENs on the 318 are the oldest looking the oldest around these parts would be DMN1, not sure if WVL72 is still at NP or not

Like Theresa May's Brexit strategy it keeps surviving against all odds It returned to service a few weeks ago as well VWH1414 I did mean WVL79... it had new white blinds fitted too. I guess not good enough for the Euro6 conversions... though none of the WVN / WVL B9s seem to have been done for Tottenham LEZ...

Maybe it will make a magical return like DMN1.

Tomorrow (Friday) is likely to be the end of a batch of contenders for oldest single deck bus Will it be last day of Marshall Darts ?
Last day of GoAhead operated 193
Today has included 51reg LDP191, LDP198 02reg 142, DMN9, DMN11
How much longer will LDPs survive on B16 ?
Think all the other 51reg have gone now, even Sullivan’s ELV6 appears to have stopped fortnight ago.

DMN1 should still survive at NP for a while longer, how much time it has though is anyones guess at this point. Wonder if 142 will again survive withdrawal and go back to NP

The RR ones are arguably already not needed but the ones at BX will survive until the B11 gets cut back from Thamesmead. The DMN’s at RR should go once the 193 is lost - they’re not in great condition either and I suspect the two ED’s left will also go.
