Not too bad in all honesty although my only gripe would be I'd prefer to have a couple more front facing seats rather than sideways ones at the front of the train. will definitely be weird having an inward facing seat directly behind the front seats, so used to having someone sitting directly behind me

I used to have such good strategies to get those seats in pre-COVID times; used to make the drudgery of the commute bearable!

If I'm at the front I definitely need to be looking at where we're going haha I like the design of the carriage. Very spacious. As do I. The moquette looks lovely and I'm also a fan of the darker teal handrails. Having only one row of front facing seats wouldn't bother me as those in the video are high back seats, so if I sat behind I would not be able to see out of the front window anyway.

There is small status update in TfL Board Finance report (pack page 50) regarding new DLR Rolling Stock Rolling stock delivery The manufacture of the new rolling stock in Spain is continuing to plan with three completed trains in the testing phase, one train awaiting delivery to the testing area and another in the final stages of manufacture, before delivery of the first two trains to Beckton in early 2023. Beckton depot and network infrastructure At Beckton depot, work on the northern sidings and sub-station continues. Pre- possession works are being progressed to deliver the end state northern sidings and power, which will be commissioned in late 2022. Housing Infrastructure Funding (HIF) Having previously completed the acquisition of land at Beckton next to the depot, the planning application for the new site south of the existing depot that will house the additional HIF trains has now been submitted. This will allow works on the land to begin later in the year. board.tfl.gov.uk/documents/g681/Public%20reports%20pack%20Thursday%2006-Oct-2022%2010.00%20Finance%20Committee.pdf?T=10

In my mind, they remind me of the Montreal "Azure" metro trains that started operation a few years ago

Some DLR Rolling stock news associated with the new stock.
Cannibalised B92 vehicle 39 left us on the 26th Oct from Beckton depot on a low-loader for scrap (to Cashmore's in Newport I believe). The vehicle has been OOU for approaching 8 years now and was noteworthy having worked the last train from the old Island Gardens station on 8th January 1999 before its' closure and diversion of the line via the new Lewisham extension.
Vehicle 80 currently dumped at Poplar depot with a smashed gearbox will be next after component recovery at Beckton.
Long-term OOS Vehicle 88 will be refurbished & converted to become a depot pilot at Beckton for shunting the new B23 vehicles around.

Slight update on the above.
V39 went to CF Booth's at Rotherham for scrap - closely followed last Wednesday by V98 which had been OOU since a derailment in Beckton Depot in 2019.
OOS V80 will be transferred by road from Poplar depot to Beckton depot this evening after 19:00. It may now get a reprieve using V98's recovered running gear.

I did wonder why 80 wasn't being taken straight from Poplar to Booths. And to think 98 has only just entered service when I joined...

Small update
80 was transferred as planned - it's arrival at Beckton coincided with my own for a N shift - managed a couple of photos of it stopped in Armada Way outside the depot & then negotiating the roundabout into the depot - impressive driving by the low-loader driver. Took 20 minutes off during the night to get some high-quality shots of it parked in the depot awaiting unloading the following morning. Now in the main shed.

First part of vehicle 201 arrived at Beckton this morning, with the remaining parts expected to arrive on Monday.
The vehicle will remain at Beckton depot whilst CAF complete works on the vehicle.
Second vehicle is due to arrive in February *Edit* two parts of the first 5-car will be arriving today, I only saw the middle part of 201 arrive at Beckton Depot this morning
