A temporary driver shortage has led to cancellations in recent weeks. From 9th October until the beginning of December Ipswich Buses is cancelling one round trip an hour on routes 8, 9/10 and 13 on a planned basis so that the rest of the service can be operated more reliably. www.ipswichbuses.co.uk/news/temporary-service-reductions/

Ipswich Reds (First Norfolk & Suffolk) has acquired five 72-registration Wright Streetdeck micro hybrids from First York, where they have been displaced by new electrics. They are entering service initially in York University livery and are expected to see off the last ALX400-bodied Volvo B7TLs. They are very similar to the Wright Streetdecks that were new to Ipswich Reds in 2022.
