I was considering buying this but had a glance in the LT museum. The book is mainly photographs I was hoping for more text.

I thought it might not be text-heavy but that's fine. There's space for pictorial and detailed text books on my shelves.

Well Mr Cooper is a good photographer but seeing the link to the book reminded me he is on Flickr or at least was. It dawned on me I hadn't seen much from him lately and it seems all bar about 50 of his photographs have been removed from Flickr. He used to give good photos of what turned up at West Ham and also a lot of rail stuff. Sadly no more. I can only assume he's had enough of Flickr or his personal circumstances have changed thus preventing him from taking so many good photos.

Their books, of which I have several, are mainly pictorial, but when they started they were much more into producing high quality DVDs of the London bus scene, something they seem to now be leaving to others. They seem content to leave the more textual stuff, both of historical and ' political' content, to Capital Transport and I think they've positioned themselves well in the market, at a guess aiming to appeal to LOTS members aged 20 to 50 in particular, although one or two more recent books of theirs seem aimed at geriatrics like me.

They do the occasional information filled book such as the excellent book about the Capital Citybus operation.
