I am very intrigued to know what those MAN/E200s look like. Apparently 2 of the 3 have now 'arrived'. Unfortunately it was not stipulated where they have arrived at, or indeed when they are likely to be seen on the roads. As it was a Metrobus guy that made the quote I presume they at Crawley, as this is where all new Metrobus vehicles seem to be delivered to Thanks very much 180, . This hs been the second most anticipated wait fro me after the volvo b9's for putney.

Right, I have managed to find pictures of the first two MAN/E200's which are now imminent for Metrobus route T32, courtesy of the Metrobus website. 706 YX58 DXB707 YX58 DXCHence blindless and having no vinyls as of yet, I have noticed that on the front of the bus, the number blind is rather on the left side and the destination blind is on the right side. Was this a practical mistake or is this blind layout unique to MAN/E200's? The only pictures I can find of them are the "outside London" samples which feature the LED blinds.

Surely that must be a mistake - I don't understand why would this unusual layout be standard on MAN/E200s, when the same bodywork on Dart chassis get it the more conventional way round? Additionally it IS a TfL requirement that the number is on the right hand side with the destination on the left - when the 492's DAF/Geminis were delivered with the blinds the wrong way round, they soon got theirs corrected.

I see. I'm sure they will receive the necessary attention at one point. Also, I have noticed that Metrobus have gone back to the Roman Telmac seats as I can see in these vehicles. I thought they now favoured the Punt seats (as seen in Omnidekka's 947-952) as opposed to these? Not saying it is a big deal at all but I like the Punt seats more. ;D

Also notice in the second picture the emergency exit door on the off side is in the middle not at the back.
All the buses delivered to my local Northfleet garage have this configuration on their 07 and 08 reg buses. I didn't notice where it was on the new 58reg B15 buses that were delivered this week, I'll take a look tomorrow

I also notice the rounded edges on the windows - is this a MAN thing?? Nah it must be part of the design by ADL for some reason - the type of chassis shouldn't really affect the design of the windows (at least I can't see how it would). I also notice the rounded edges on the windows - is this a MAN thing?? The windows look hideous. I fail to see what is wrong with them - isn't the ability to look out of them the more important thing?

I couldn't care less what they look like on these Enviro's as long as I can see through them. Something I have learnt on this forum is not to judge a bus by the way it looks (design can sometimes play a part), but rather by the mechanical side of things and how they peform as a bus altogether.

Too true. I used to REALLY like the OmniCity DD simply for the reason that it "looked smart". My ride on one of Docklands' examples on the 474 really opened my eyes. When I rode this particular example (SOC1) I found comfort levels and the interior layout to be very poor - the seating in particular. A bus CAN look really nice in appearance, but then may present a low ride quality compared to rival designs. Similarly a bus that seems like the design has been rushed COULD well present a better ride quality than those that simply "look nice". Edit:2,000th Post! Now that's a milestone

Thanks for the pictures, surely you mean the number blind is on the right and the destination blind on the left of the bus. As you said that the number blind is on the left and the destination on the right...which is how it is mean to be. Also the windows is a ADL thing I noticed that the new stagcoach e200/300s have rounded windows where as before it was sqaure. Also only volvo b7rles/scania's?? and MAN, have this centre emergancy exit door thing going on. The normal E200/300s have the normal rear emergancy exit door, so therefore the new e200s for the B15 have the exit door at the rear.

Nope you have got it all wrong - surely the number blind is supposed to be on the right and destination blind on the left. With these vehicles it was a factory error and came the other way round. It is a TFL requirement. Take a look at the blind layout on this Enviro200, which HAS the correct blinds here.
