Nope you have got it all wrong - surely the number blind is supposed to be on the right and destination blind on the left. With these vehicles it was a factory error and came the other way round. It is a TFL requirement. Take a look at the blind layout on this Enviro200, which HAS the correct blinds here.I did point this out in an earlier post Indeed. ;D

Any news on the Man/MCV for 202? Nothing has been heard of them yet I am afraid. Besides, the interior of 706-708 can be seen here. I was surpised to see many seats crammed in there, theres quite a lot of them. I am quite eager to know the length of these buses. I could guess they may be 10.7m as the MCV/Evolutions due for route 202 will come in that length. They are 10.9m and looks as if they seat 34. No I have not got the blind thing wrong because if you are looking at the bus head on then the number blind is on the right and the destination on the left. What I was talking about is on the actual bus itself e.g on the bus looking out the windscreen the number blind is supposed to be on the left and the destination blind on the right.

I see what you are saying but I had actually meant exterior-wise lol. Regarding the length of these vehicles - apparently we were both wrong as I found out their actual length is rather 10.2m , which is quite suprising considering the high amount of seats they have inside them.

Where did you find out that they are 10.2m as that is what I heard they were supposed to be. I bet though that they are 10.9m, no way a 10.2m dual door 'dart' based bus going to have so many seats, I believe it is 34. I remember the MAN MCVs were 'supposed' to be 10.2m they are actually 10.4m.

I have asked a Metrobus driver I know from Croydon garage to confirm the lengths for me. When I get them I will post on here.

You do that gemini2 lol, I would like to know the length because I do believe they are 10.9m as for the MAN/MCV's they are supposed to be 10.4m.
Ok another confusing thing about the MMs(MAN/MCV's for metroline) on the 07reg batch for the 251 they have a longer window just after the exit door than on the 57reg versions. Some said that they are still the same length(10.4m) but I actually believe that the 251's batch are slightly longer then the 90/206 batch. Having went on both batch's yesterday, I noticed that on the 251 batch there was more space between the seats on the nearside behind the rear doors than on the 57reg batch.

I was right though, they do seat 34 hence I know they are 10.9m no way if they were 10.2m they would seat that much. However I must say that is good though as the normal 10.7m dart seats 32, I know the rear end of these things are ugly but the way they sound uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AxHzdZZbnRQ

Come on London choose more Voith on Darts and Tridents, appearantly it's better for start-stop city traffic.

Hold on, hold on, hold on are you trying to tell me that all E200 Darts from now on automatically just come with 4 speed voith now. Or are you relating to that link because if you are, then that link is showing a MAN E200 hence why it is a 4 speed voith.

Now i'm disapointed, as that means there's still no 4 speed Voith for the Dennis Dart.

Ahh, I am disappointed too. I was well excited as I thought you were saying that e200s now came with 4 speed voith.

Hopefully I should recieve the official results regarding the lengths of the MCV's and E200's sometime next week. Having seen the MAN/Esteems (703-5) on the 130 on my way to school daily, it has occured to me that those are 10.2m in length, so it is possible that these E200's will also be the same length. They don't even look long enough to be 10.9m in the photos. Arriva, I can assure you the E200's will be 10.2m when I recieve confirmation.

Yes those esteem are 10.2m and they only seat 27, so if the E200s are 10.2m and seat 34 that is amazing.

This is for you 'Arriva' - I finally have the official lengths confirmed from the Croydon driver. The MAN/E200's for route T32 are indeed 10.2m, which I had already stated countless times. The upcoming MAN/MCV's due for route 202 are "around" 10.8m. It is actually quite shocking how ADL managed to cram 34 seats (as you previously mentioned) into a 10.2m E200, especially as Croydon's MAN/Esteems (which are also the same length) have far less seats - though it may have something to do with the emergency exit door being positioned at the centre although I am not quite sure about this. I also have some good news for you guys, and yes the news is official. I have been informed (and confirmed) that a 10.6m Metrobus Omnidekka had passed a route 75 "route test", this meaning that the upcoming Olympuses Metrobus have on order will have no problems with the tight turns along the Penge backstreets. I was also told that the Metroline Olympus (SEL805) was borrowed from Metroline, but NOT for a formal route test. Whoever it was that mentioned they failed their route test earlier in this thread was either telling a lie or was just a false rumour. The information I just provided should not be doubted in any way, as they came from a driver who works there.
