Like in late 2008 when ELBG borrowed buses from Metroline because the existing buses are needed for the installation of ibus equipment. web.archive.org/web/20101229234552/http://elbg.com/TemplateView.aspx?sec_id=2921&art_id=5714I also remember that Connex hired some buses from Stagecoach in the early 2000's. So are there still operators that loan buses? But i know there are big changes of operations in June 22nd, But i just wonder if theres still some happening now? One of Docklands Buses Omnicity is with Metrobus. Also YT11 (on route 114) is with London Sovereign.

London United used loaned PVLs in 2006 at AV (before VA73-9 moved from S) and First loaned TNs when iBus equipment was being fitted to the fleet at S, FW, TV and AV. Also, Metroline lent a motley mix of Tridents in 2008/9 when the Central line was partly closed

A selection of Go Aheads PVL's (I think 195-205) had an all London tour in 2006 or so when they were loaned to Transdev at AV, Metrobus and East Thames at BV/MA. Can't remember the reason, but I think it was around the time that ETB was itself loaning their VPs to First at Westbourne Park who had lost a load of buses due to that fire there....

The loans to Metrobus were for the 127 takeover from the erstwhile Centra and at AV that was for schools work shortage (they gained the 696/697/698 at the time) and the intended SPs were diverted to S for the 148 (cascading VA73-9) and eventually made it to AV via HH, some four years overdue. The 698 is now allocated the buses which were bought for it!

Loans due to I-bus fitting that I can remember (wonder if anyone has a list of all I-Bus fitting related loans)
PDL1-5 was loaned to TC, CN & TH - I rode PDL1-5 most mornings on the 312 & 410 Some TN's & TPL's were loaned to SW - saw a TPL on the 345. One or two TL's from Blue Triangle were also loaned in as I snapped one on the 345 TN's were loaned to TV as I rode one on the 57 Some PDL's from London General were loaned to DT - at least one appeared on the 428
Other loans:
When Metrobus gained the 127 after the collapse of Centra, PVL's were loaned in until new Omnidekka's arrived.

I also remember that Connex hired some buses from Stagecoach in the early 2000's. Indeed, for the acquisition of routes 60 and 157 in September and December 2001 respectively. They lasted up to about six weeks with some actually starting service at BC before they did at TL (new bus deliveries temporarily diverted). Travel London's incarnation of Beddington also borrowed some buses from Stagecoach, Plaxton bodied Dennis Darts were used for their temporary 152 contract, before they were awarded the full contract.

When Metroline gained the 7, the SELs that were bought for it didn't arrive on time and so TNLs/TNA's were borrowed from First and put on the 297/460.
Metroline borrowed some Dennis Trident / East Lancs from Metrobus, while the buses at HD were being refurbished.
