Are there any plans for a bus to do Clapham Junction to Twickenham / Kew Bridge on Saturday? 23065 allocated on Clapham Junction to Kew Bridge today. Would have been VLA176 but still in the workshop following overboosting from the turbocharger.

Will you by any chance be operating on the Hounslow rail replacements this Sunday? And if so, do you have any timings for it?

Replacement Bus Hire rolling on Sunday. Clapham Junction to Surbiton semi-fasts and semi-semi-fasts (complex service pattern in operation!)
No vehicle allocated as yet.

Weird service pattern indeed! Only ever have had either all stops via Kingston or fast via A3!
I’m assuming some services will run fast from New Malden down the A3 to Clapham Junction (the semi-semi-fast services)?

This pattern is normally used for the Hampton Court service, but that branch is open on this occasion. 3 bph are running fast between Wimbledon and Surbiton (semi fast service) 1 bph(!) all stops via Kingston. 4 cph (coaches per hour) fast between Clapham Junction and Surbiton Running times are somewhat lively - 13 minutes between New Malden and Surbiton and 22 minutes between Wimbledon and Surbiton!

Fleet Updates
23065 - currently VOR awaiting a new tyre. It's due a PMI and will be having some mechanical work done on the engine and turntable.
TA23 - the restoration work continues. It has now been released from the bodyshop after an extended stay and is having minor mechanical work done on it. It should be good to attend the Lowish Floor running day on Sunday.
VLA170 - withdrawn servicable.
VLA176 - has been in the workshop receiving attention to its engine. It was sluggish for years, which turned out to be down to a hole in the boost hose, allowing pressure to escape from the circuit. This has been replaced with a new one (it's a pig of a job to do) and the turbo boost circuit has now been completely sealed, which means its sound and performance is now significantly different to how it was. It now has a full compliment of cab controls, including the saloon heating and traction control which were buried in the murky depths of the dashboard wiring loom.
That's all for now.
