proposed changes to routes 102, 189, 210, 232, 266, 316, 326 and C11 These service changes may take place over a period of time as development expands and areas become more occupied, so no exact date for implementation.

I have to say a little underwhelming really. Obviously with the 16 being withdrawn the scope of bringing a major new central link to the area has gone but the 316 is really the only improvement and expansion as opposed to the other routes simply switching their local approach roads towards Brent Cross.

Lots of missed opportunities. A new link to Mill Hill East? Frequency increase to the 324? Double decking the 232, 316 and the 143? Seems work was done at the bare minimum to support the developments for capacity rather than exploring opportunities to support. Quite disappointed in this from TfL when this was said to be one of the improvements from the ULEZ expansion rather there isn't any.
Edit: Noticed the N102 isn't included in this as well.

The 189 will serve the area which will provide a central London link. I agree it is underwhelming overall. yes, there are small extensions but if you take all the affected routes and look at the overall likely PVR and mileage increase it is really quite small. If we are looking to improve outer London bus services then something more on an altogether different scale is needed. These changes are just small modifications to serve new roads and a station, with no real overall capacity or frequency increase. I daresay the savings in axing the 16 will be more than the additional cost of these changes.

I am surprised that there only extending the 316 to Staples Corner Retail Park instead of the new bus station I wonder why

I am surprised that there only extending the 316 to Staples Corner Retail Park instead of the new bus station I wonder why It is being extended to Brent Cross West Station, where it will terminate, then towards White City it will depart from the station via the retail park.

Regardless of the redevelopments around Brent Cross, I'm surprised there won't be a few more routes directly serving the new station. Brent Cross West brings various areas much closer to a Thameslink station - particularly the residential area around Crest Road.
And as others have said, a missed opportunity to introduce some wider changes to/from Brent Cross, such as some new links, or increasing capacity on busy routes like the 143 and 232.

I think this is a good thing tbh because you don't want too many routes going down there and there's no demand for it. Let's see how this pans out first and if there is significant demand then TFL can review this again.

326 gets a nice little extension there - maybe an extra bus or maybe two.

Whilst I don't feel these proposals are improvements, I speculate proposals have been scaled back recently following budget pressures on TfL. I do recall the 324 and the 143 were considered for the development plans.

Perhaps there will be a second consultation further down the line once the station is more established, the first phases of housing is completed and there is better infrastructure in place. It could also allow TfL to do more models to see how demand is needed.
