I have notice lately a lot of white blinds being reported within the various operators threads, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a central place where we can post about buses receiving new white blinds. It saves having to look over the various operator threads to get the latest additions and can be used for snappers who want to go out and snap them When posting, post the following details: Company, Fleet No, Reg, Route observed on Abellio 8053, X313KRX now with a white blind set seen on route 484 Happy blind spotting!

@edd regarding 249 and WVL blinds, that is probably the reason they are re blinded

Don't know if this one has been reported on the forum yet, but a few of the 100's Darts have been reblinded with white blinds, which presumably include the 484. They indeed include the 484 as reports of them were already seen on route. Would be interesting to know if any non WL routes are on their blinds for fleet flexability. An ALX400 Trident was also retrofitted a few months back, 51 reg 9759. I imagine the majority of Abellio's seventy-three Volvos will be done next, with possibly some more TAs as well. With Stockwell now housing the 249, I wonder if the 06 reg Es will get retrofits to include the 249 on their manual wind blinds.

I wouldn't be surprised if they include route C10 as WL can operate it as well.

Buses that have power blinds could be some of the last to have white blinds fitted because of the amount of time it would take to change the blinds, I have been told this is very awkward and reprogramming the software in the cab.
I've seen a few route 386 buses with them at Blackheath, the ALX400s for the 269 at TB have them and I've seen one or two of these ALXs on the 208 and 61 as well as the 269.

I've probably missed something... but what's the reason for the change to white blinds again? I thought it was to do with visually impaired people. although, I have noticed that the yellow blinds do fade very quickly...

Basically that is the reason, though I think the background lights should also be updated from tubes to LED. The ones on Go Ahead's 06 WVLs have excellent night displays, possibly the best on manual wind. The Es on the 196 however are not as good, are they still with tube lighting behind the blinds?

DW133 takes the crown for having the brightest blinds of any London bus. You can even see the LEDs behind the blinds. I'm not sure if its been toned down since I last saw it.

VLW116's rear blind already looks dirty methinks they never cleaned the glass when they fitted the B&W ones

Reprogramming is the easy bit, but the blinds are a couple of hours work on a WVL maybe slightly more on an E.
